Kayaking at the US National White Water Center

This quick video was shot recently by Will Mauney at the US National White Water Center with his GoPro HD camera. I love the point of view of his camera because it makes you feel like you are in the kayak! I especially love when he rolls the kayak over (around the 1:09 mark on the video). I haven’t been kayaking before, but have quite a few of my friends that go regularly and rave about it. Will’s video makes me want to go try it!

If you haven’t visited the USNWC yet, they offer are a ton of outdoor activities for your visit. Water activities offered are: Whitewater Rafting, Flatwater Kayaking, Stand-up Paddle Boarding, and Whitewater Kayaking. However, if you’d prefer to keep out of the water, there are even more options to get your blood pumping that don’t have you getting wet. You could mountain bike, rock climb, or even take a ride on the 1,123 foot long “Mega-Zip” line.

What do you think? Have you had a chance to visit the US National White Water Center yet? What do you enjoy doing when you go?
