Just outside of Uptown Charlotte, between Dilworth and Cherry, you’ll find Metropolitan. The mixed use development replaced the old Midtown Square Mall (the first enclosed shopping mall, in the Southeast). Pappas Properties redeveloped the area and put in a great mix of residential condos with commercial tenants.
The commercial tenants include Target, La Paz, Hickory Tavern, Pisces Sushi, Vivace, Modern Salon & Spa, Best Buy, Staples, Marshall’s, Trader Joes, and Zoe’s Kitchen, just to name a few. It’s also located on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, so if you live at Metropolitan, you can walk right out your door and take in nature or exercise!
There are actually two different buildings of condos at Metropolitan. Met Terraces are on the side of Metropolitan that overlooks the greenway. Met Lofts is across the street and most condos have views of uptown or the greenway, even though it isn’t directly on the greenway.
