Autumn is with us in full force, which means winter is coming. But it’s still too nice to stay indoors, so while you are out at the regular October haunts (Carolina Renaissance Festival and Scarowinds), make sure to take a detour and experience all of the ghostly events Charlotte has to offer.

Friday & Saturday, October 17th & 18th – Uptown Charlotte’s 12th Annual BBQ & Brews Festival

Friday – Sunday, October 17th – 19th – Carolina BalloonFest
Not everything worth doing is centered in Uptown Charlotte. Take a short road trip with your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy this annual hot air balloon spectacular. The weather is going to be perfect for it! More Information here!
Saturday, October 18th – Barktoberfest 2014
Grab your furry baby and partake in a 1 mile walk, Doggie Howl-o-ween costume and more. $20 donation goes to support Murray’s Fund and Cops 4 the Cure. More Information here!
Friday, October 24th – Bachtoberfest II: Bach & Beer
Even the treasured Charlotte Symphony is getting into the fun of Autumn. The event opens with a panel discussion on the creative process and continues with another spell binding performance by the Symphony. Saturday, October 25th – Halloween at The Duke Mansion
