Tis the season. We may not be past Thanksgiving yet, but it’s time to start planning for Christmas. On November 21st Holiday on Ice returns to Uptown (Take a look at some of the fun from last year). However, before all he holiday cheer is in full swing, brush up on the arts including a NaNoWriMo event at the Mint, a musical Circus at Belk Theater, and films fit for Twitter at McGlohan Theater.

Wednesday, November 19th – Art Fusion: NaNoWriMo
The Mint wants to “be your muse” as you write your masterpiece for National Novel Writing Month. You will receive special access to their Connecting the World: The Panama Canal at 100 exhibition. Bring your device of choice and get inspired. More Information here!
Friday & Saturday, November 21st & 22nd – Cirque Musica
Our Favorite Charlotte Symphony Orchestra combines with the fantastic thrills of the Circus. Come out for a journey that will thrill all of your senses. Check out this video to prepare yourself. More Information here!
Saturday, November 22nd – 100 Words Film Festival
Experience the best of modern story telling by film makers from the Carolinas and beyond. Films span all genres and are limited to 100 words each. This is an inaugural event that is sure to become a Charlotte tradition. . More Information here!
Wednesday, November 26 at 6:00pm – 7:30pm – Inaugural Carolina Panthers Tree Lighting
The holiday tree lighting celebration is free of charge and will take place outside Bank of America Stadium, on the corner of Mint Street and Graham Street, from 6-7:30 p.m.
Panthers fans will enjoy appearances by Sir Purr, TopCats and PurrCussion. Families will be treated to an evening that includes children’s activities, holiday music and a special visit from Santa Claus. The event will be capped by the tree lighting ceremony.
Food and drinks, including holiday favorite hot chocolate, will be available for purchase. More information here!
Friday & Saturday, November 28th & 29th – Plantation Christmas
Dive into a piece of Charlotte history and kick off the Christmas season at Latta Plantation. Learn about the Christmas decor, food, and traditions from the Colonial Era. You may just run into Father Christmas while you are there. More Information here!
Sunday, November 30th – Christmas Spectacular
Come out and lose yourself in the Christmas Spirit with over 300 performers. Bring the whole family and plan to create one the greatest holiday memories you are surely ever to experience. More Information here!
